IOHA  does not itself provide training courses, examinations or certification of  occupational hygienists however many of its member organisations do so.

In 1999 IOHA decided to set up a Certification Committee to identify and  designate national "IOHA Recognized Certification Boards". The work of this committee and its publications are described in the IOHA Main Site under the key topic section of  Certification
